Breeding special, European imported kittens for health and temperament. Specializing in providing emotional support kittens that are harnessed trained.
Our Kittens!
We are very excited that you are interested in our kittens! We do our best to ensure high-quality kittens are placed for you and your family. Be assured that if you are not in need of a kitten who is prepared to become an Emotional Support Animal, you can still purchase from us. Our pet kittens are suited for any home and buying one from us assures we can continue breeding quality cats. It is a great way to purchase a doting kitten for your family and support our small cattery with big dreams. After all, every one of our kittens is an example of Living Hope.
Every kitten comes with a basic kitten pack. This pack includes a small bag of Instinct Original kitten food, a bag of your kitten's top three favorite toys, a framed 8x10 inch printed color photo of your kitten to hang in your house, a Living Hope t-shirt, and a clicker so you can keep up with their training if you choose (if you are receiving a trained kitten that is). Pet quality kittens come vaccinated and are required to be spayed/neutured by eight months of age. Trained kittens are up to date on their vaccines and are spayed/neutered before they leave our cattery. They also have a five-year genetic health guarantee, which you can find more information about if you read the contract below.
We charge a non-refundable deposit to put one of our kittens on hold. This will count towards the total purchase price when you come to pick up your kitten. The fee just allows us to be sure the purchaser is serious about buying the kitten. We understand that purchasing a Maine Coon is exciting and you may want to check out many breeders before deciding on whom to purchase your kitten from. However, since I do plan to spend such much love and care on training each individual kitten, please be prepared to wait if you decide to purchase from us. We do more than the average Cattery and you can feel rest assured knowing we give our kitten unique experiences that you will not find elsewhere. We hope you will agree that our special kitties are worth the wait.
Our standard kittens are Maine Coon / Ragamese mixes. If you would like a purebred Maine Coon please include that information in your application or an inquiry email you send our way.

Pet
Kittens
Pet kittens are the standard kittens that we recommend to be just a loving house pet in a loving home. These special kittens have been dropped out of our therapy kitten program and we do not meet our standards as an Emotional Support Animal. These kittens are still taught positive training methods by being used to being held, bathed, and having their teeth brushed, but perhaps will be a little bit more upset while it is happening. Typically these kittens may know a few basic commands but not all that I have intended, or do not meet the temperament I aspire for our therapy cats. Purchasing a comfort kitten is a great way to support our Cattery. If you are just looking for a great companion who will offer their lifelong friendship these kitten are for you.

Comfort kittens are kittens that have passed in our programs! Yay! You are on your way to owning a very well-trained kitten. These kittens are best suited to go to homes with people who intend to register them as Emotional Support Animals. Every kitten that is sold as a comfort kitten has demonstrated the ability to be told to get off, come, sit, lay down, and stay. These kittens are put in all types of situations to make sure they have a good temperament when being groomed, bathed, handled, and are used to traveling in a carrier. I do my best to make sure every therapy kitten has a good temperament. These kittens will make the perfect addition to your home! More information about specific training on home page.

Show Quality
Kittens
Occasionally we will have purebred Maine Coon show-quality kittens for sale. These kittens will get the basic training that all our kittens receive as well as some specific show training tricks. They will be used to long car rides and comfortable in their carrier. We will include the carrier they were trained to use in their purchase price so that you will have no problem with the long drive. Show quality kittens are used to being groomed, bathed, and will be used to having their teeth brushed. We do occasionally sell breeding rights. However, we ask to know more about your cattery and where you are planning to keep the cats to make sure they have ample space to grow. Anyone who buys a breeder from me can see me as their mentor. You will be able to call me and ask about any concerns you might have about breeding and the showing circuit.

Kitten Contract
Terms of Purchase Agreement
A non-refundable deposit in the amount of $250 is required for purchase of the cat. Should the Buyer, after having paid the deposit, decide against purchasing the cat, he or she forfeits the deposit. The cat will be temporarily reserved for seven days once the Seller is given notice that the Buyer is sending the deposit. If the deposit is not received within this reserve period, the temporary reservation will end. The cat must be paid for in full prior to possession or delivery.
Method of Payment
The Buyer shall make the deposit called for under this contract via Facebook Pay or in the form of a cashier’s check. The payment shall be made in U.S. currency. A deposit made in the form of cashier’s check shall be made payable to and mailed to:
LIVING HOPE CATTERY LLC
729 Fair Park Ave
Marion, OH 43302
By paying the deposit the Buyer indicates that he or she understands and agrees to abide by the terms stated in this contract. The Buyer will pay all travel and shipping expenses. The Seller will notify the Buyer of cat’s readiness for possession, wherein the Buyer is then responsible to pickup/take possession of said cat. Failure to pickup/take possession of said cat results in the loss of said payment without recourse; allowing subsequent buyers the option to purchase said cat.
Health Guarantee
The Seller guarantees the cat to be in good health at the time of purchase for a period of 48 hours. It will be the responsibility of the Buyer to have the cat examined by a veterinarian within 48 hours. Within that 48 hour period, if found to be seriously medically deficient, the Seller will take the cat back and refund payment, less the deposit and any shipping charges, under the following conditions: the Seller is provided with proper documentation, from a licensed veterinarian, stating the medical issue and that the cat is seriously medically deficient; the cat is returned to Seller within 7 days and a second examination by a veterinarian of the Seller’s choice corroborates these claims. This cat is not guaranteed against respiratory disease, fleas, ringworms or any nuisance disease. After the 48 hour period, the Seller can no longer guarantee the cat’s health, except for birth defects.
The Seller guarantees the cat against lethal genetic or congenital defects for five years following the date of purchase. If, during these five years, the cat should die or have to be destroyed due to a genetic or congenital defect, the Seller will replace the cat with another cat at the his or her earliest convenience or the Seller may opt for a refund of the cat’s total purchase price at time of sale, only if the following conditions be met: the Buyer provides the Seller with a necropsy by a licensed impartial Veterinary Pathologist, at the Buyer’s expense, stating that the cause of death is unquestionably a genetic or congenital defect; a second examination by a veterinarian of the Seller’s choice corroborates these claims.
The Seller assumes no liability or responsibility for any veterinary care for this cat after the Buyer takes possession of said cat. Under no circumstances will the Seller be responsible for any veterinary bills incurred by the Buyer.
The cat shall not be declawed, tattooed, pierced, or undergo any unnecessary "fashionable" body modification.
This guarantee does not cover any health issues caused by neglect or injury once the cat is in the Buyer’s possession. The Seller does not guarantee full grown size of the cat. The Buyer may be given an educated guess as to full grown weight, understanding there are too many variables besides genetics for absolutes. The Seller will not honor any health guarantee if the cat dies of a virus from contact with another animal after it leaves the Sellers cattery.
Spay/Neuter Agreement
This cat is being sold with no breeding rights and on a spay/neuter agreement. The Buyer agrees that the cat will be spayed/neutered by the time the cat eight months of age at the Buyer’s expense.
Within eight months of receiving the cat, the Buyer will provide the Seller with either documentation of the spay/neuter appointment or the veterinarian’s guarantee that the appointment exists and will be carried out. Proof (e.g., veterinary bill, phone call from veterinarian) that the cat has been sterilized must be provided by the time the cat reaches eight months of age. If the cat is not spayed/neutered by eight months of age and/or proof of sterilization is not provided, the Seller will enforce breach of contract for the maximum dollar amount.
Buyer’s Veterinary Information
The Buyer must provide the name and contact information of the cat’s new veterinarian before transfer of ownership will take place. Should the Buyer refuse to complete the section below, he or she will forfeit both the ownership of the cat as well as the deposit. If, after purchase of and transfer of ownership of the cat has taken place, the information provided below was found to be fraudulent, breach of contract will be enforced. In the event that a new veterinarian or veterinary practice takes over the cat’s veterinary care, at any point during the cat’s life, the Buyer agrees to provide the Seller with the updated information. The Seller reserves the right to contact the Buyer’s veterinarian at any time during the cat’s life. The Buyer agrees that the Seller will be able to discuss the cat’s health information, sterilization status, and well being with the Buyer’s veterinarian. The Buyer agrees to notify his or her veterinarian as to this agreement.
